Executive Coaching
for high performance
Helping you grow
Why coaching?
Coaching is about partnership. If you want to achieve something - build on a strength, overcome a hurdle, make a career decision or develop your leadership - then coaching can help. We will focus on your goal, identify what you need to do and work with togehter to achieve it.
You will be in control of the agenda and of your success. May job is to listen — really listen — and ask precisely the right question.
Working together, we will drill down into what you want to achieve and navigate a path to realising that goal.
About me
I’m Ben - an Executive Coach with a professional background in central government. I’ve held a range of policy, strategy and programme leadership roles. As a qualified Executive Coach I have worked with a range of clients across sectors, from senior lawyers and diplomats to healthcare professionals and directors. I’m also a mentor with the Social Mobility Foundation and a criminal law Magistrate.
Outside of work I am an outdoor enthusiast, trail running, climbing and hiking. I hold Non Executive Director roles in the education and outdoors sectors.
I live in Cardiff and work regularly in London, which is where I coach most of my clients, although I can coach clients anywhere online.
Every coaching relationship is different and I tailor the session around you.
This will include focused questions getting to the heart of the issue and a range of creative exercises that get you on your feet, drawing, thinking and talking differently. Sometimes I will recommend things to read or watch between sessions to help you reflect and build on our conversation.
I’ve had great feedback from clients on this approach, so whether you have a clear goal or need help figuring out what to do, I can help.
My approach
Some common coaching goals include:

PG Cert (L7) in Executive Coaching

In a partnership, trust matters. If I sound like someone you can trust, let’s talk.
What my clients say
How it works
Getting coaching can be confusing and there’s not much transparency on cost. So I have tried to make it simple. I offer three options, with fixed costs - although if you want something different, I’ll always try to be flexible.
-
This is the standard offer: 5 sessions, each 2 hours long. They could be once a month, once a week, or vary over the 5 sessions, depending on what works best for you.
This is the best option if you want a focused series of sessions to work through your goals, with time to reflect and take action between sessions.
-
Two sessions: the first 2 hours, and the second 1.5 hours. This is for clients who have a very clear issue they want to work through (i.e. preparing for an interview) and a short time frame. We will use the first session to unpack and explore the issue and identify a way forward, and the second to reflect and identify what happens next.
-
Coaching by the hour, which can be used as you want. You buy a number of hours and we use them in the way that best suits you. That might be a number of short, sharp sessions to work through an issue at pace, or fewer, longer sessions to really explore and get underneath an issue. Ideal if you want the flexibility to mix and match your time.
Location
I coach face to face in London or Cardiff. There are benefits to coaching in person, but I have also experienced some great online coaching sessions which can be anywhere in the world. I’m happy to explore different options to suit you.
